3 day weekend...

I took Friday off to spend the day with Kylee--we ended up joining Mike and Kelly in the last day of their Spring Break fun. First we went to the Discovery Center (along with the rest of the city). This was Kylee's third trip there but she has fun every time we go. After that we went to lunch at McDonalds. Kelly had given the kids a gift card so they could order and pay by themselves...they all thought that was the best thing! I have put a photo album of our day up on the side.

After McDonalds we went to Andrea's and Kylee and Maddy played for a while. Kylee then went to her dad's for the night. I spent the evening cleaning, backing up so photos online, and finishing my book.

Saturday I met Katrina at Cafe De CoCo...yummy!!! We then wandered over to the library where I promised Kylee I would check out some books for her.I came back and did some more cleaning and then headed out to run some errands with Andrea. We went back to their house--the girls were so hyper!! We even did some scrapbooking--now I can say I am no longer a year behind!! My batteries just died but I will post pictures later. I ended the evening watching Pride. It was a pretty good movie.

Today started off with church--I have been going to Broadway with Jeff and Andrea and I love it. Kylee loves it too! Kylee is at her dad's for the day and I am trying to finish up some last minute cleaning.

That was the extent of our fun 3 day weekend!

My Friday...

I can happily say that today is my Friday! I love working short weeks!! Today was also going to be my last day of work until the first week of June but I have decided to work 1/2 days Monday and Tuesday and then be done---which is a good thing since my C-Section is on Wednesday.

I am excited to be able to participate in the Spring Break plans Kelly has been doing all week. I took tomorrow off so Kylee and I could spend the day together but she is having so much fun with all the surprises I don't want her to miss the last day. Kelly even gave her her own envelope to open tomorrow morning. It was very sweet and Kylee cannot wait to open it tomorrow.

I am soooo happy to say I am now the proud owner of this!! I absolutely LoVe it!!I cannot wait to use it! Andrea is very talented and I am very pleased with it! Thank you Andrea!!

I will be sure to be back with a fun weekend recap!! :0)

Our Easter Weekend

We had a very fun and busy Easter weekend. Here are the highlights (as I know you love)!!

*Painting eggs--twice. Kylee and I did once at our house and once with the whole family at Mike and Kelly's.

*I managed to paint my toenails--by myself!

*2 eggs hunts--one after church and one at grandma's.

*A wonderful church service.

*Lots of cute pictures--check out the photo album on the side (even one of my cute toes!!)

*Kylee opening her Easter Basket

*Kylee going back and forth as to whether or not the Easter Bunny is real.

We had a great time. One highlight from today was this conversation:

Me: What was your favorite part of the weekend?
Ky: Um...the egg hunt at Grandmas.
Me: That was fun wasn't it?
Ky: Yes. But do you know what I enjoyed more than all the eggs and candy?
Me: What's that?
Ky: That Jesus died and rose again.

So sweet!!

On a side note---thank you Andrea for making my new banner!! I LoVe it!!

Have no fear...

The weekend update will soon be here!!

I am working on changing up my page---yes my mismatched banner will soon be gone!!

Gotta love those lazy weekends....

I know I do!! Here are some highlights from our lazy weekend...

Friday:
My c-section was finally scheduled on Friday. It was scheduled for April 2nd at 1pm--dumb time I agree. I was hoping for something along the lines of 730am...but oh well.
Friday night Kylee went to her dad's. I stayed home and watched No Reservations...predictable but still good. I have not been sleeping all that good--not to mention I never sleep good when Kylee isn't home. I slept on the couch until about 430 then in my bed until about 8. I can't wait until I can sleep comfortably again!!

Saturday:
I woke up with an upset belly. I spent most of the morning sleeping on the couch. I did find some energy to get half of my cleaning down. I have also picked up reading again--what a fun hobby. :0) I spent a lot of Saturday reading a book I got from the library last weekend when we went in between my cat naps.
Once Kylee was home I made dinner and we watched Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It was a really good movie.
Kylee went to bed and I watched Reign Over Me. It was different...not a bad movie but just different. I can't remember the last time I watched so many movies in one weekend!!

Sunday:
We started off with church at Broadway. After church I dropped Kylee off at her dad's for the afternoon. I ran some errands---one including hitting up Sonic for their 1/2 price drinks! I get it mostly for the ice...I love their ice!! I then came home and ate lunch while I got caught up on last week's episode of Lost. I finished up my cleaning and made some thank you cards. Now I think I am going to snuggle up with my book and read before I attempt to get some sleep!

Busy weekend update....

We had a pretty bust weekend...here are some fun highlights:

Friday:
Friday night I babysat for Maddy and Bryson. Kylee loves playing with these two so she had a blast. Once we got home we both went to bed. I had been up since 245am and was beat!!

Saturday:
We started out the day with breakfast at Cafe De CoCo....yummy!! We then walked over to the Nampa Library where I finally paid my fine and we checked out some books. Kylee loves to read so she was super excited.
We then had lunch with Grandma and Bob and headed over to the Awana Olympics to watch Garrett. Kylee didn't want to play but she she would next year when she was bigger.
After that Kylee wanted to go anywhere but home...so she went with Grandma and Bob for the afternoon. I ran by Walmart and then went home and started on my cleaning.
After a wonderful suggestion from dad, I stopped and grabbed some Hong Kong for dinner and headed to get Kylee.

Sunday:
We started off with church. For the past few Sunday's we have been going to Broadway with Andrea and Jeff.Kylee loves going into Madison's class with her so I think we will continue to go there on Sundays.
After church, Jeff and I took the kids to lunch at Idaho Pizza Company. Yes just Jeff and I. :0)
We then headed home for a little bit. I finally cleaned out my car---it was horrible!!
Some girls from work through me a baby shower Sunday afternoon. It was a very nice shower. They wanted Kylee to come and some had gifts for her so she wouldn't feel left how. How sweet!! I received a lot of wonderful things and had a great time.
I do have to show off this cake:

How cute is that?!? It was hard to eat it because I didn't want to mess it up. I wish I was as talented as she is!

One last note---Happy Birthday Jeff!!

The red envelope that makes me happy....

I love opening my mailbox and seeing this inside:

I started using Netflix a while ago and fell in love with it. I was able to catch up or start getting addicted to many shows. Gilmore Girls being one of the first. When I first started using it I only did one at a time and would just choose a video for me and then still take Kylee to the movie store if she wanted to watch something. I then upgraded to 2 at a time---she picks one and I pick one. Hers come addressed to her so she thinks that is pretty cool too. If you have never tried it, I highly recommend it. You will love it.
I did get my happy mail today....I am off to watch Heroes---my current addiction due to the writer's strike and lack of good things on TV.
