Meet Jingles.

Kylee got the one thing she wanted the most for Christmas. A baby bunny.
Meet Jingles:
Kylee l.o.v.e.s this bunny!
She has been taking very good care of her, cleaning her cage, playing with her, making sure little Leigha isn't too harsh with her. Just the excitement on her face when she got this gift made my day. She was so beyond excited. This is one loved bunny!!

I will be back later for a longer recap on our wonderful Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Oops!

I didn't realize I had been gone so long....oddly enough, not much has happened we have kept pretty busy since I last posted.

*Kylee came home with a wonderful report card! I really like her teacher this year as does she. She is doing great!

*Maleigha is...well Maleigha.

*They are both ready for Christmas, I am soooo excited to give Kylee the biggest surprise of her 8 years. :) Here is her Christmas list:
She may or may not be getting this.

*My work also puts on a Children's Christmas Celebration every year. It is really fun. Here are the girls and Santa:

*We also had a Snow Day a few weeks ago, both girls had a blast playing in it:
And then Maleigha decided to try to ride her bike in the snow. She quickly learned that wasn't going to work out so well:

*We decorated our tree:

*Maleigha saw her first movie in the movie theater (Thanks Jeff!). Kylee was there too. :) We saw Tangled. It was super cute and Maleigha did really well!

I think that pretty much sums up our happenings. I won't stay away so long next time. :)

Bob's Tractor

All of the kids love Bob's "Tractor." All the kids..but Maleigha...until tonight. Bob took all of the kids on a ride..Kylee even got to drive it herself. I had asked Maleigha if she wanted to go but she kept saying no. Much to my surprise, Kylee came in and said she was riding with Bob. She had a ton of fun! Here is Kylee driving it:
And here is Maleigha going for her ride:

Whack-a-doodle

What is a Whack-a-doodle? This is:
A few weeks ago Annie taught Maleigha how to say whackadoodle. It fits her perfectly. Maleigha is one of a kind, she keeps us laughing and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face--most days. :)
 I love my little whackadoodle!

Jesus Loves Me

Here is Miss Leigha singing Jesus Loves Me...ok actually she just sings the first 3 words, but I think it is cute....and yes her shirt is on inside out....she did that herself. :)

The Farmstead

My work offered a free day to The Farmstead for employees and their immediate families on Saturday. My parents came along since they were able to get in free too. We had a great time!! I am glad we went when they first opened because it was hot!! The girls went down some fun slides, we did the corn maze (once we finally found our way out, Kylee said she did not want to go back in), we rode a cow train, watched pig races, jumped on a giant pillow, and went on a hay ride.
Here are a few pictures from our fun day:

Sick Day

Poor Maleigha was a sick baby today. She came down with a fever out of nowhere last night. This morning she woke up burning up. So I stayed home with her...and got lots done! She climbed up in my lap and fell asleep shortly after 9 today and slept for a little over an hour. She was pretty  mellow the rest of the day..she took a nap later this afternoon too. In taking advantage of this, I cleaned my room, cleaned the upstairs bathroom, watered the lawn, cleaned the girls room, put new sheets on all of our beds, and worked out. I had a productive day! Maleigha did a lot of this:
Her fever was around 102-103 (without Tylenol) and I could not get it to break...even on Tylenol it was at 100-101. I finally through in some Motrin and it seems to be down for the time being. Hopefully it will stay away!

THIRTY!

If you have talked to me recently, you will know that I had a hard time with the fact that I was going to turn THIRTY on Saturday (9/18). I am not sure exactly why I was having a hard time, lots of mixed emotions for a lot of different reasons. I was not looking forward to it!
Saturday morning started out horrible. Both kids were up a little after 7am. Kylee is sooooo sweet. She took Maleigha downstairs to play. I fell back asleep for about 20 min or so. The girls came back upstairs and Kylee wished me a Happy Birthday and then told Maleigha to do the same. Love those girls! We all slowly got ready for the day. Maleigha was being a holy terror! She was just naughty. So naughty I had a meltdown in my bathroom. In the midst of my meltdown she comes in and says "Mommy potty pant." Translation: She wet her pants (not me). Lovely. So I got her changed and we headed to the library where she continued to be a holy terror. She was running up and down the aisles laughing as I was trying to catch her. She knocked a few things off a few shelves. One lady even tried helping me stop her but she dodged her. The only thing keeping me sane was the fact that it was almost nap time! After that fun trip, we headed back home. As we were finishing lunch (where all Maleigha would eat was apples), Bob (grandpa) showed up to help me with my lawn. I laid Maliegha down for her nap and Kylee ended up going home with Bob. I enjoyed the silence! I cleaned a tiny bit but relaxed and read for the most part...which was good because this was not turning out to be a happy day!
We had a family dinner planned at 4 for my birthday. As I drove up I wondered why everyone was parked so weird..not in their normal spots. I walked in and saw this:
Ok so this doesn't show all the cute decorations! I told Kelly it looked like a real party. She said it was. I didn't believe her. Surprise! It was a real party. Made. My. Day! It meant  a lot to me that Kelly and my mom put this all together. It turned my not so good day into a very good day!
Yes the girls were there but we didn't get any pictures of them. :)
Thank you Kelly and Mom for putting this together, it meant a lot.
Thank you to everyone who made turning 30 not so bad.

Sisters

I love my girls!! Kylee is THE BEST big sister anyone could ask for! She will do anything for Maleigha and Maleigha LOVES her big sissy!! Wherever Kylee goes, Maleigha is right behind her. I love watching the two of them together. Of course they fight and get irritated with each other (Kylee once asked if we could trade Maleigha in for a puppy!) but I know their bond is one that cannot be broken.
I love that Maleigha looks up to her big sister, Kylee is a great role model for Maleigha!! Here are just a few more shots of these sweet sisters!

I am so grateful they have each other and that I have them!!
