Christmas 2009

This is the last time I am posting on my blog this year (for you Andrea)!

We had a wonderful Christmas! As usual we spent the night at Grandma and Bob's. I woke up at 4 and couldn't sleep. Maleigha woke up at 415--not sure why! Kylee woke up a little after 5 so we all got up and started opening gifts. That afternoon everyone else showed up. We opened more gifts, enjoyed a yummy dinner, played some games and enjoyed yummy treats. I am out of space to upload pictures on my blog so until I fix that, you can find our Christmas Eve pictures here and our Christmas Day pictures here.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas as much as we did!

Our happenings

Kylee had her school Christmas Program last week. I love watching those! My mom always saves us a seat right up front so I was able to get some good pictures. If you are my friend on facebook you have seen them already. If not, go here to see them.

I am all done with my Christmas shopping...only working 2 1/2 days this week...and so ready for Christmas!!

I snapped these cute pictures of Maleigha yesterday. She has quite the personality!!!

Snow Day!

Although I am not a fan of driving in the snow, I love playing in it! AND since my new car does oh so good in the snow, my fear of driving in it is slowly fading!
Sunday we went to both church services so the kids could be in the Christmas Program for both services. Kylee wasn't too happy about getting up so early but it was a good program.
After church and lunch, we went out to play in the snow. Maleigha loves being outside and she LOVES the snow! She had so much fun! I can't wait to go out and play in it again!! Here are 3 of my favorite photos. To see the rest, go here.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

We finally got around to putting up our Christmas tree last weekend. Kylee did most of the decorating. So quick funny story. If you can't tell we have a fake tree. I was putting it together and the middle chunk fell over. I picked it up and not knowing how close Kylee was to me, accidentally hit her in the face. She had a nice scratch across her nose. I drop her off at Kelly's the next day. Kelly asks her what happened to her nose...Kylee says "My mom hit me in the face with our Christmas Tree." It sounded so funny! I took the pictures. Maleigha did this:She got into the pantry and got herself a snack! She eventually joined in on the fun.

Maleigha loves her Bob.
The house seems empty without Kylee (2 more days!!) so Maleigha and I spent the long weekend over at Grandma and Bob's. Maleigha loves her Bob (and her Grandma too)! She will follow him all over the place and in most cases, if her Bob is holding her, she won't go to anyone else!! Kylee was and is the same way! Tonight we came back home. After Maleigha woke up from her nap, she was walking around saying "Bobby, Bobby." Thank you for being such a great Bob, Bob!! We all love you and are so thankful for you!

I like my new style...

This week is Red Ribbon Week for Kylee at school. Each day is a theme day for what they should wear. Monday was hat day. She didn't have a hat so I bought her one to wear to school. She was so excited to wear it, which kind of surprised me. She kept looking at herself in the mirror with it on Sunday night. Monday we were getting ready to go and I hear her say, "I like my new style." I looked over and she was checking herself out in the mirror...again. I must admit, she did look pretty darn cute!I like hats, but I don't have any so I never wear them. But I did get a super cute hat from Bethany today and I LOVE it! Isn't it cute??I like our new style!! :c)

New wheels!!

Our previous car has bit the dust! I had wanted something a little bigger, but was also oh so close to paying off the Focus so I was content in waiting. Until the Focus started having issues. I will just say I hated having to stop...and it was so loud....and the key didn't turn on it's own. It became an embarrassing car! So I began researching used cars. I found the one I wanted...and now it is sitting in my garage!! I LOVE it!!
Isn't it cute?!? It is a 2007 Jeep Compass. I got a good deal on it and it only had 18,000 miles on it. Kylee was pretty happy with it too!! Although she gave it 1 1/2 thumbs up. I asked her why it didn't get 2 thumps up. Her answer: Because there is not a t.v. in here. Silly girl!! Here are a few more pictures:

At her 18 month check up, Miss Maleigha weighed in at 22 lbs and 13 oz. Jessie guessed 23 and that was the closest guess. Carrie guessed 22 but 23 is closer to the actual weight, right?!? Maybe Carrie needs a runner up gift. :c) Anyways, congrats Jessie! Email me your address and I will mail you your prize!

I was looking over Maleigha's papers from her 15 month appointment. She weight 22 lbs 11 oz...so she only gained 2 oz in 3 months. The doctor didn't seem concerned, so I won't be either.

I haven't been in the blogging mood much lately. I am sure I have plenty to say, just don't feel like writing it and I am not sure who even reads this anymore.
Anyways.....this is what we have been up to lately:

Both Kylee and Maleigha have been sick, but I am happy to report they are both feeling better! Kylee missed Monday and Tuesday from school. She had a fever that just didn't want to go away. Luckily she was able to return for the remainder of the week. Some exciting news from Kylee, she lost another tooth tonight! I didn't have time to snap a picture before she went to her dad's for the weekend but I will when she returns.
Maleigha is feeling better too. She had her 18 month check up today and is doing well! In honor of my blogging return, let's do a contest! Guess how much little Miss M weighs. The person who comes closest to her weight will win a free Scentsy Bar in Honey Pear Cider. Contest is open now until Tuesday (10/13). I will announce the winner Wednesday---I will ship out of state if you out of staters want to play!

One of a kind...

Oh my Leigha Lou, she is honestly one of a kind. As many of you saw on Kelly's blog, Maleigha likes to walk around with one sock on (I am now missing a lot of socks). She will find one (from anywhere!) and pull it all the way up her leg and walk around with it on. Tonight she was wearing just her diaper, shirt and sock. She then got her coat on and was ready to roll.
I did try to get a picture of her without her pacifier, but this is what happened:

The kids had their school carnival tonight. We haven't gone in the past, but Kylee was asking to go this year. So we did. She had a great time! I didn't get too many good pictures but here are a few:

17 months!

My Maleigha Rae is 17 months today! I cannot believe it! If I had to describe her in 1 word it would be easy: DRAMA QUEEN (ok 2 words)!! Anyone that knows her, would 100% agree with that too! But she is such a cute, sweet drama queen! She is walking around like crazy, trying to get the hang of running. She loves to be around people, loves her sissy, loves water, loves being outside, loves her mama. Her newest thing is to find one of mine or Kylee's socks and wear it. Only one. She puts it on herself and walks around with it on. You can find some S.U.P.E.R cute pictures of this here. I LOVE these pictures!! Some words she is saying: hi, thank you, bye bye, sissy (comes out tisty),uh oh (my favorite), ow, mom (or MOM), mama, bob. She goes for her 18 month check up next month so I am anxious to see how she is doing at that appointment. For now, I wish I could stop time for a little bit and keep her at this age for a while. :c)

Whoops!

I have slacked...again! I don't know why but I just can't seem to get into blogging lately, I have been bad at posting and reading! Hopefully I will get back on it. For now, I want to brag. Today I want to brag about:



Miss Kylee Anne! Oh how I love this girl! We are a lot alike and often butt heads, but I sure do love her! She is an amazing big sister who loves her sissy SO much, and her sissy loves her right back! She will do anything for anyone and just has a big heart! She is loving being in her 2nd/3rd grade combo. She is doing a great job too. Her teacher has nothing but good things to say about her! I could go on and on about all the things I love about this girl, I am so proud to be her mom! I love you Beanie!!

Vacation....OVER!

Has it really been almost a month since I last posted? Our summer has been busy, but a lot of fun! I don't feel like going back into everything we did so you can check out our pictures of our fun summer here and here.

Our summer is officially over. This little girl started 2nd grade today!!
I cannot believe she is in the 2nd grade! Due to some overcrowding, she was chosen to be in a 2nd/3rd grade combo this year. She was also separated from Garrett this year so she had a couple of major transitions. I took her to school and watched her walk in her class. She didn't even look back so I went to work thinking she was having a great day. I found out later that she had a rough morning, but after some hugs and reassurance from Grandma she was good to go. Thank you Grandma! She said school was AWESOME and can't wait to go back tomorrow. I am so glad things have gotten off to a good start!!

I really do not like this picture but here is my new hair. What? It looks the same? It is for the most part. I just had her cut an inch off and then we fixed my grown out highlights. Oh and cut my bangs. It looks so much better! Crystal always does good work! I am thankful to have such a good hair lady..and an even better friend!!

So much fun!

We always have fun when Binga comes to town. This visit was no exception! For the most part we all just hung out, but there was a trip to Roaring Springs,Garrett's birthday party, and fireworks in between. There were a lot of pictures taken. On a side note:
I am getting a haircut soon. I have been trying to grow it out for a while now. But now I am wondering if I should cut it. Here are some options (most of which are pretty much what I have now just shorter AND typically what I always do)
