Tuesday

So I avoided posting last week regarding my weigh in for obvious (obvious to me anyways). I can list a MILLION excuses as to why I have done not so good the past few weeks. It all just comes down to my head is just not into it. I just wasn't focusing on it the past few weeks and it shows. As of this morning I am up 3 pounds. BUT my head is back in it and I am focused on this. My goal is to be down to the 20 lb mark by the end of April.

Mommy and Kylee Day

As I mentioned in my last post I took the day off and my parents agreed to watch Leigha so Kylee and I could have a Mommy and Kylee Day. We started off going to Artist for a Day. She LOVED it! She was a little disappointed when she realized we couldn't take our stuff home today but was ok when we left.

After we were done there we stopped by Red Robin to grab some lunch. Kylee was thrilled when I let her order a milkshake to go with her meal. I think she got that from Bob.

After lunch we ran to the library. They were packed! She picked out a few books and we were on our way. We ran out to Grandma and Bob's to get Leigha and we of course stayed for a bit. Leigha was sleeping when we first got there but she was SO excited when she woke up and saw Kylee! Kylee invited herself over for dinner and to spend the night but nobody else was hungry and she didn't have a change of clothes so she agreed to come home with me. After she ate we headed outside to play for a bit

I love Kylee's face in the back of this one!My little chipmunk baby!

We had a pretty darn good day! Thank you mom and dad for watching M so Kylee and I could have our Mommy and Kylee Day!

Our latest

Kylee

She was hit by a 24 hour bug this past week. She missed her first day of school ever. She just had a fever and you could tell by her sad eyes she just wasn't feeling good. Here is a picture I sanpped of her that evening:

The following day she brought home a WONDERFUL report card. She is above grade level on reading and on grade level for everything else. In part of the note her teacher wrote it said "Kylee is a good citizen at school and is always using her time wisely. She is well liked by her classmates, and they often ask for her help. she is very sweet and kind as she helps them. Kylee you should be very proud of what you have learned so far this year! You are an excellent role modle to your classmates. I am thrilled with your neat papers." I am SO proud of my little bean. I cannot believe she will be in second grade next year. Time is going by way too fast!

Maleigha

She started her breathing treatments on Wednesday. The first day was hard. She did not like it at all. Which I knew. She doesn't even liked when I wipe her nose! After a few days she calmed down and doesn't fuss too much when it is time to do it. Luckily it only lasts about 10 minutes. Here she is meeting her new "friend"

Here she is actually sitting by herself and leaving it on

She has also started eating "real" food. I have give her yogurt, toast and jelly, and ham. She has loved it all. I love the way she eats toast and the ham. She little hand covers her whole mouth as she is putting the food in her mouth

I know this next picture is a tad blurry, but I just LOVE her smile!

Me

I had some issues with my financial aid and so I wasn't going to school for a few weeks, but now I am back on track. It feels good to be back in it. I really enjoy it all being online.

Through the help of Facebook, I have found some friends that I haven't seen since my freshman year of High School! I had seen one (Carrie) at my high school graduation, but that was the last time. We all met up for lunch on Saturday. I must admit I was a tad nervous but I am so glad we went. It was so much fun to catch up and tell stories from the past. We were able to get a hostess to snap a picture before we left. Here is one I stole from Carrie's blog

I really can't believe I just posted that! I just LOVE my sweet glasses. Wow. Anyways, 3 of us from Saturday are in the above picture. Here is a picture of us now

I took tomorrow off and my parents have agreed to watch Maleigha so Kylee and I can have a mommy and Kylee day. She needs it. I do too. It will be fun. I am not sure exactly what we will do but I have a few ideas. I will be sure to post on that tomorrow.

Sigh of relief

Maleigha had her dr appt at 1120 with our own Dr McDreamy. He said she was still wheezy and this has obviously been going on for a while now so we need to figure out another course of action. My thoughts exactly. So he said he was sending us home with our very own Nebulizer (I am praying my insurance will cover this new addition to our family!). They had me purchase this because he said I will need it in the future and he is pretty sure this is going to occur in the Fall/Winter again next year. Neat. Anyways, I almost forgot to show him the rash that I thought was probably nothing. While he was looking at it I could tell by the look on his face it wasn't good. He told me the name of it, which I have forgotten, but basically it is broken blood vessels. He said it was from all of her coughing. He ordered a chest x-ray just to make sure there was nothing else going on and a lab test to make sure her platelet count was ok because of the broken blood vessels. She cried harder during the x-ray than she did with the lab work. The lab came back ok, although it did show a little sign of anemia so he suggested I start her on a mulit vitamin. The x-ray showed the Bronchiolitis which he is saying this nebulizer should clear up. I know getting her to keep the cute dragon mask on will be a pain, I am just glad we finally have an end in sight!!

Another sign of relief...my weigh in for today! I must admit when I stepped on the scale I was surprised to see I lost 3 pounds! For real this time! So that makes a total of 15 pounds. It is slowly coming off but I am very happy it is coming off! 5 more pounds to my first goal. I am hoping to reach that goal by the end of this month!

Another DR Visit

Maleigha is headed back to the DR tomorrow..it is a darn good thing this doctor is nice to look at...too bad he is married! Anyways, last time we saw him he said if her wheezing doesn't stop in 10 days to bring her back in and they would look into other things. So it is day 14 and she is still wheezing and also has an odd rash that probably has nothing to do with anything. I am sure it is nothing but for some reason I am awfully worried about this appointment! Anyways, her appt is at 1120 tomorrow so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Hi!

Maleigha has always been a "talker." On Saturday it sounded to me like she was saying hi. My friend Crystal had stopped by and she mentioned it sounded like M was saying hi so I figured I must not be making it up. Kylee could pick it up too. But then I could not get her to do it again for anything. She is a bit of a stubborn little thing. I cannot imagine where on earth she got that from. Anyways, today Kelly mentioned that she had been doing it all day. I LOVE it. I was able to catch it a little bit on video. I will try and see if I can get a better video but this will do for now. Excuse her lack of clothing. She was having a hard time crawling in the outfit I had her in today and I had just changed her diaper and she was going to take a bath soon so I just left her clothes off. :0)

Tuesday

For my weigh in today, I was the same as last week. Ouch. To make matters worse, when I figured this out this morning, I realized I was only down 2 lbs last week and not 3. Double ouch! But in watching in The Biggest Loser tonight (in which I was not thrilled with) I could relate to what they were going through. As with anything, every decision you make affects the outcome. I know I slacked off on my exercising last week (mainly due to the fact that I was sick) and I did make poor eating decisions..mainly on the weekends. So my focus this week is to exercise more and make smarter eating choice on the weekend. Although struggling turns into frustration and frustration turns into me ALMOST wanting to give up, it does encourage me to see the contestants on TBL go through the same struggles. They work out 6-8 hours a day and can still gain 2 lbs. It just proves that losing weight isn't easy, but at the same time your choices affect the final outcome.

Ahhhhhh.....

That is what I was saying when I woke up Sunday morning. I slept SO good! I was in desperate need of a new mattress. My back would hurt almost every morning, I could feel the coils in my old mattress (I even stuck two blankets under my mattress pad hoping that would help) and my bed would squeak every time I moved (very annoying). I decided to use some of my tax return to invest in a much needed mattress. Saturday morning my parents came and picked us up and we headed over to RC Willey. I found one right away. It is this type of mattress. They had just put it out on the floor at about half off as it was last year's model. I can handle that! I bought it and we headed home to set it up. I was SO excited to go to bed that night. Grandma told Kylee she could sleep on the new bed with me so with her and Maleigha, it was a tight fit, but we all slept pretty darn good. Thanks mom and dad for your help picking it out and setting it up.

Bits and Pieces of our happenings

*I was making dinner the other night and could hear Maleigha just cracking up. I looked around the corner to see what was going on. This is what I saw:

Kylee was tossing these "weights" (they are filled with rice and won't hurt you) on her and Maleigha just thought it was so funny. Kylee and I were both cracking up at her.

*I must say I am so proud of Kylee for participating in the Sparks A Rama this year. This is something that is so outside of her comfort zone. Last year she wouldn't play but did go watch. It was hard for me to watch her because her little legs were shaking and I could just tell her was SO nervous! She made it through though and they won 2nd place! I asked her if she was going to play next year and she quickly replied "NO" Here are some pictures (they didn't turn out that great since we were in the MHS gym).

*Our family has been hit by the crud that is going around. Maleigha started it with her Bronchiolitis. Kylee has a bad cough and I have it too. It sucks. I am ready for it to go away!

*This little miss turns 11 months old tomorrow. I cannot believe that in just 1 month she will be 1 years old!

*Last but certainly not least, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREA!
