Christmas Recap

Here it goes....

Wednesday: I had this day off work...didn't get to sleep in but we were very lazy! Kylee didn't get out of her pajamas until about 230! My parents came and got us around 430, we packed up all our stuff, headed to Andrea's for dinner. After dinner we went to church for the Christmas Eve Service. After that, we headed back to my parents. It had started to snow and the roads were crazy! I was very thankful I didn't have to drive in it!!

Thursday:
Kylee woke up at 515! I think part of it was due to the fact that Maleigha woke up at 5 to eat. So we headed downstairs around 530 to open gifts. My mom woke up and joined us and then after Kylee had opened a few she announced that it would be more fun if Bob was awake. So Bob came out and joined us.
Everyone else showed up around 1 and we opened more gifts. The girls were both spoiled! Thanks everyone!
We enjoyed a yummy dinner and just relaxed. We stayed the night again at my parents. I had two very tired girls!

Friday:
We were lazy again...not getting dressed until around 11 or 12. Once we finally packed up all our stuff, mom took us home around 2. We ended up spending the rest of the day at Andrea's. After Kylee went to bed, I started to unload and try to reorganize things.

Saturday:
Today we woke up to it snowing and snowing and snowing. It seemed to last forever. It was a perfect day to be lazy again! We did manage to get dressed and go grocery shopping with my friends Crystal and Jason. It was nice to get out of the house. They ended up hanging out here for a while after they dropped us off. It was fun. I also took down our tree and attempted to organize things, but didn't get far. Kylee is going to her dad's tomorrow and will be there until Wednesday so I am hoping to get rid of a lot of toys she doesn't play with anymore.

I took too many pictures to post on here so I created an album to the side. Feel free to take a look. I do want to share some of my favorites.
Kelly taught Kylee how to sew and Kylee made Maleigha this blanket:
She made me this cute pot holder and/or trivet:

Isn't that so cute?? She did such a good job on both of them. I love it!

I am stopping myself from posting a million more..check out my album!

Weekend fun

We once again had a fun weekend..here are some highlights:

Friday:
I have been racking my brain trying to remember what we did Friday night. I know I made chicken casserole for dinner, but that is all I can remember. I am thinking we just chilled out at home...something we don't do often.

Saturday:
We had a lazy start to our Saturday. Once we finally got moving, I ran some errands and finished up my Christmas shopping. After that we headed over the the library. Kylee checked about about 20+ books..she has read them all. She LOVES to read. Saturday night we headed over to Mike and Kelly's for our annual cookie decorating party. I was fun, as always. Sorry I don't have any pictures to share, but I am sure with all the other cameras, pictures are bound to show up on someone's blog.

Sunday:
Today we started off with a snowy start. I love the look of snow but as you all know I HATE driving in it. Luckily, my nice parents swung by on their way to church and picked us up. Thank you!! After church, I was eager to get home and get into some comfy clothes and just stay home. And that was what we did. I got some much needed cleaning done. Maddy and Bryson came over for a bit so Jeff and Andrea could go to a funeral. Kylee had a blast playing with them and it was nice to have them come to us for a change. Andrea and Jeff also came back with dinner so that was a nice surprise! Thanks guys!
Before the kids came over, Kylee and I picked up her room. Some of you know that she loves stuffed animals. She has quite the collection. I had asked her to make her bed. Maleigha was sitting on the floor watching her big sissy. Kylee started tossing things on the floor and they were landing right by Maleigha and Maleigha thought that it was hilarious. Once it was all said and done, this is how M ended up:

I also snapped a few pictures of the girls once we got home from church. I think they turned out cute:

With this next one, I wanted to get one of them standing up but Kylee couldn't get a good hold on M. I just like it because you can see M's curls coming in.

Before this post comes to an end, I want to share some pictures from Breakfast with Santa last weekend. Andrea took some and I LOVE them:
I will end with this one. It's my favorite!

More fun (and a contest)

We had a fun filled weekend! Here is a quick recap:

Friday:
Kylee went with my sisters the Botanical Garden Friday night. I stayed behind because Little Miss M wasn't feeling too hot. I am bummed I missed it, but Kylee had a great time!

Saturday:
We woke up to go eat breakfast with Santa at Kylee's school. We did this last year and had a lot of fun.

After breakfast we ran some errands with Jeff and Andrea and then came home and relaxed for a bit. Kylee went to her dad's for the afternoon, Maleigha to Kelly's and me to my work Christmas party. My party was fun but cut short due to the snow and me being a big chicken when it comes to driving in the snow.

Sunday:
This morning started with church-bright and early! My parents came and picked us up (Remember how I said I was a big chicken??) at 725am! On the way there, Kylee asked if was going to be dark all day..we had to tell her it was just cause it was so early! The kids had their Christmas program but we only stayed for the first service because Kylee was a little too tired. They all did a good job. I was bummed because none of my pictures turned out.
Once the snow cleared up I headed out to do some much needed grocery shopping. Kylee didn't want to go and so she headed over to Kelly's to play in the snow with the boys. Thanks Mike for letting her come play!
Our weekend felt busier than what I just typed out, but we had lots of fun!

Ok so now for the contest...
I am giving away this fun little keychain pocket thing that my sister made:
This one is the one I am giving away:

These are sample pictures of mine. I LOVE mine!

I bought some from her for Christmas gifts but ended up buying one too many.
So for the rules...nothing fancy, just comment (as many times as you would like) by midnight (Idaho time) Thursday 12/18 (that just happens to be Kelly's anniversary too). I will have Kylee draw a name Friday morning. Good luck!!

New tricks

Trick #1:
I walked into the living room where Maleigha and Kylee were playing tonight. I see Maleigha doing this:

Sticking out her tongue!! It was SO funny! Please excuse her messy face. I had JUST fed her and hadn't wiped off her face yet..obviously. How cute is that??

I also got it in action:

Trick #2:
Not so much a trick but little missy has started to do some rambling. She has also been vocal and I don't think she is going to stop any time soon. I was able to get some of it on video

Sweet baby tricks!

Busy, in a fun sort of way

That is how I will describe our weekend this past weekend and the weekends to come.

*Friday we went to an open house at the salon my friend Crystal works at. It was fun..Santa was there so Kylee thought that was great. She sat on his lap and asked her what she wanted for Christmas. Without skipping a beat, she said, I mailed you a letter. Cracked me up!

*Saturday was a children's Christmas party up at the hospital. It was fun. The had a couple of different stations with crafts, Santa, and then they play Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures:

The girls and Santa:

Kylee and Miss Treasure Valley:

Kylee and Miss Outstanding Teen 2008 (I think that is her title):

Kylee and Mr. Magorium:

You can see the rest of the pictures here.

*Sunday we started with church. Then lunch with the Foss crew. After lunch, Kylee went over and played with Madison (thanks Jeff!) and Andrea and I did some Christmas shopping. I got a few more things crossed off my list. I am almost done!! Kylee also had to decorate a tree for school. The rules were you had to have at least 3 patterns. I am so thankful for my crafty child!

This coming weekend is full with Breakfast with Santa, my work Christmas party, and Kylee's Christmas program at church!

It's been a blogless (yeah that isn't a word, is it??) week for me. I have just been too busy. I started back on school--had to take a little break until I could get my transcripts from BSU, but I finally got them and I am back on track. Plus work has been crazy busy and I am just too tired and lazy to blog at the end of the day.

Our week was nothing unusual or too exciting. Last night I needed to give both girls a bath. Kylee asked if Maleigha could take one with her so I let them. I snapped some cute pictures of Maleigha (I figured Kylee is a little too old to be taking pictures in the tub). Here are a few:

Ok so that was more than a few, but I loved them all. She loves playing with the water running down and was cracking up at Kylee sitting behind her. She LOVES her big sister!!

Tomorrow we have a Christmas party at work. Santa will be there so Kylee is super excited! It should be fun..come back Monday pictures!
