Mother's Day

I love being a mom. I am lucky to have a great mom and to be a mom to two wonderful little girls.
Our day started out at 7am. Kylee woke up, came into my room, and said "Happy Mother's Day mommy" Oh it just melted my heart. She quickly remembered she had  a gift for me that she made in school so she asked if she could go get it. She came back with this bookmark:

She then handed me this card (which she said she made in the car on the way to her dad's Friday...I can't even draw this good sitting down at a table let alone a moving car!)
She then handed me this book:

This is what the inside said:

I love it! I love getting gifts like this. They mean so much!
We then had a great time at church, listened to a wonderful sermon on being a mom. After church we headed out to grandma and Bob's for a yummy lunch and relaxing day:
(That is me sleeping with Kylee snuggled up next to me and Maddy next to Kylee)
Goofing around with this little girl:
Thank you to my mom for being the best mom a girl could ask for. Thank you for your unconditional love and showing me how to be a great mom. I love you.
To Kylee and Maleigha: Thank you for being great children. I love being your mom and wouldn't have it any other way. I hope I am able to be as good of a mom as my mom is.

9!

I can't believe she is 9!
I love my little Kylee Bean! There are so many words that I can use to describe her. Easy going, smart, beautiful, talented, sweet, calm, and the list can go on and on. I am so grateful that I am able to be her mother. She is such an easy child and a wonderful big sister. She has a love for drawing (which she is very good at), reading, and animals. She has a big heart and would do anything for anyone. She is a great role model for her little sister. Since we have been going to Bridgepoint, I have enjoyed watching her love for the Lord blossom and have enjoyed watching her grow in His word.
We celebrated her birthday on Saturday. Thanks to Kelly for planning and organizing it all--she did a great job and Kylee loved it. To see pictures from her party, click here.
Happy Birthday baby girl!! I love you lots and lots!!

Easter 2011

We had a wonderful Easter this year. We enjoyed a wonderful service at church, 2 egg hunts (one at church and one at the grandparents), yummy lunch/dinner, and some good family time. We couldn't have asked for a better day.

Pictures to come after her party!

If you have ever met Miss Maleigha, you instantly know how lovable this little girl is. She is stubborn, loud, full of energy, loves her sissy, loves her cousins, aunts, uncles, Nana and Bob. She hates loud noises, especially public bathrooms. She loves to dance and sing. She loves Elmo, Abby, she loves playing outside, coloring, she loves hugs and kisses. She is my girlie girl.
Most of all, we love you Leigha Lou! Happy Birthday!!

C is for Cookie...

This silly girl helped me make cookies tonight:

She was so excited to help!
She LOVES taking things out of the microwave!
More helping!

Notice her covering her ears?!?
A little tasting:
Some more helping

She tried to taste some more!
She was bummed when I told her no
Here she is asking if she can just stick her finger in it ha ha

Unfortunately our cookies did not turn out. She had fun making them and she wasn't interested in tasting them after they were done so that was good!
She changed into her jammies and we had some fun with the camera before bed time.

Leigha!

Oh my Maleigha has THE best facial expressions--she always has. Here is one example:
And another:
And more recently:
She is definitely a child that keeps me on my toes and pushes my buttons and has my hair turning gray, but how can you not love this face??

(The top and bottom pictures were taken by Kelly and the middle one was by Andrea...thanks!)  :)

My poor Beanie!

Kylee woke up yesterday complaining of an upset belly. She seemed to be doing better as the morning went on so I took the kids to Kelly's and went to work. As the day went on, she was not doing so hot. She came down with a fever and pretty much just laid around all day. She was ready for bed by 8 and was fast asleep. She woke up around 2 throwing up. We came downstairs and discovered she had a high fever. I gave her some meds, put on a movie, and she fell back asleep.
She woke up around 7 throwing up again and still had a high fever. So she got more meds and I decided to stay home with her. She fell back asleep off and on during the morning.
My mom stopped by after her visit to the gym and I ran to the store to grab a few things and some Rebox movies. After I got back I decided to call the doctor. They wanted to see her so off we went.
She looks so miserable and seems to feel the same way. She was able to give me a fake smile!
The doctor tested her for strep, which came back negative. She just had a virus that has to run it's course. We are staying on top of the tylenol and keeping her hydrated. She spent most of the day like this:

She makes me sad. Hopefully she is feeling better soon!!
