Is it Friday yet?!?
I am so beyond ready for the 3 day weekend to be here! Kylee has had a stuffy nose all week. Poor girl just has not felt well but she has (for the most part) been happy. Maleigha is now stuffy and I just feel blah. I have an upset belly and a sore throat. I think Kylee has shared with us! I am looking forward to having a nice and relaxing long weekend!!

Temptations, Ears, and 10 years
Temptations:
My friend Crystal invited me to join her family at the fair Friday. They were going to see the Temptations and had an extra seat. Kylee was going to her dad's so I went with Crystal. It was a pretty good concert..I people watched more than I watched the concert. After the concert we walked around a little. There were so many people there! Overall, it was a fun night.
Ears:
Saturday morning, Crystal did my hair. I brought Maleigha with me. Another girl at the salon also pierces ears. I thought about doing it Saturday but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I gave in and went back today and did it. It was free too! :0) I have to admit, it was soooo hard to watch her do it but I am glad I did it. They look so cute and they haven't even bothered her since.
10 years:
Today is my 10 year anniversary at the hospital! 10 years!! I started when I was 17. I never thought I would still be there at 27. I am glad that I am. I love my job and I love St Als.

Life....
You always hear people say that life is short and you never know what tomorrow will bring or if tomorrow will even happen.
Some things have happened recently that have really made me sit back and realize I do not need to sweat the small stuff. I don't need to get frustrated with Kylee so fast. She is only 6. I need to enjoy my time with her. I need to be patient with her. I need to show her unconditional love. I am not guaranteed another day. I need to make the most out of this day.
Two ladies in our department at work have recently been diagnosed with cancer. One with breast cancer...she has 6 kids. The other just happened over the weekend and that one really hit home with me. She went into the ER with severe abdominal pain. She found out she has colon cancer that has spread. She had surgery yesterday and had her colon and spleen removed. The cancer had spread to her spleen and either her liver or her lung. She has a SOFTBALL size tumor on her liver. Her cancer is in Stage 4. She is only 28 or 29 and has 3 small kids ages 6, 4, and 2. I cannot imagine what her family is going through.
I am going to remind myself every day how thankful I am for my health, my family, my friends, and my wonderful Lord and Savior. It is sad that it takes something like this to open your eyes sometimes.

Fun weekend...
We had a super fun weekend! Friday night we stayed the night at my parents...Kylee has been asking to so I finally gave in. Saturday we headed off to the fair. My friend Crystal's dad is on the fair board and she let us borrow their fair pass. The pass was good for up to 4 people to ride any ride. It was so nice. We all took turns using it and the kids were able to ride as many rides as they wanted. It was fun! Sadly my camera batteries were dead so I didn't get to take even one picture. Luckily, I have 2 camera happy sisters so I am anxious to see the pictures!!
Today we went to church and then Kylee went with my parents for the afternoon. Thank you mom and dad for letting her spend the afternoon with you! Kylee and I are so much alike that we often need a break from each other. :0) With her starting first grade, I have seen a big change in her attitude and I am getting a little frustrated with how she has been acting lately.
While she was gone, I cleaned the house and got some of the last boxes unpacked. I also decided to try and feed her some cereal. She has decided it is ok to not sleep all the way through the night anymore...so I thought maybe she was ready for something new. Do you think she liked it?
Excuse the poor quality pictures. I was trying to feed her and snap pictures at the same time.
While I was feeding her Kylee returned home. She wanted a turn at feeding her:

Random Post...
I don't have any one thing to post about so this will be a bunch of random tid bits about what's been going on with us.
**I am not so sure I am a big fan of the 1st grade. Kylee either comes home super tired and in a bad mood or so hyper from being tired that she doesn't listen and has a nice attitude to go along with it. The past few weeks have definitely been trying for us. I am hoping and praying this gets better as her body adjusts...I don't know if I can handle it if it doesn't!! I feel bad because I can just tell in her eyes she is so drained. I have her homework done, bath done, book read, in bed, lights out by 8 almost every night. I am beginning to wonder if she needs to be in bed by 730.
**This is day 2 of me being back in school. The hardest part for me is to remember that I am back in school. Their policy is you have to post 2-3 times 4 days out of the week. So I don't have to do it daily, but it is still an adjustment to get back into the swing of it.
**Anyone else staying up late watching the Olympics?!? I get sucked in every night no matter what is on! It is fun to watch, but not fun the next morning when I try to get up on time!
**I finally put Maleigha's bedding on her crib together. She started sleeping in it this week. Look how tiny she looks:
**I took the cutest video of Maleigha laughing a few days ago. After watching this I have really realized how annoying I am in videos. I need to stop talking when I take them. So don't mind me in the video..just listen to her laughing:

First Day of School...
Are you confused!? Kylee has been in school for a few weeks now so it is not her First Day of School. Maleigha is only 4.5 months old so it isn't her First Day. So...that leaves me. Yup that is right. Me. I decided to go back to school. I have been wanting to for a long time but since I have to work Full Time I just didn't know how it was going to happen. So I looked into University of Phoenix online and decided it was perfect. I have a couple of years under my belt from Boise State. I was majoring in Criminal Justice and wanted to become a Police Officer. While that is still my dream, I don't want to take that risk and have something happen and leave my girls without a mom. My 10 year anniversary at the hospital is August 24..so I obviously like my job..so I decided to change my major to Health Administration.
Today was my first day and sadly I do not have my first day of school photo. I am excited to be going back and excited to be doing it 100% online. This way I can do it after the girls are in bed so it doesn't take time away from them. It will be an adjustment but I am excited to start!!

4 months?!?
Yup. It's true. Maleigha turned 4 months old on Saturday! Today she had her 4 month check up. She weighs...14 lbs 8oz. She is in the 75th% for weight..baby takes after her mama!! She is 23.5 inches. She is in the 25th% for height...baby again takes after her mama!! She is such a happy baby! She is sleeping through the night for the most part(she has the occasional night where she thinks she needs to wake up at 1 or 3 but that doesn't happen too often), "talking" like crazy, working on rolling over, loves her big sister, smiles when she is talked to. She is a happy baby! I am very blessed to have 2 wonderful girls!!

The Beloved Weekend Update....
It's been a while...here it goes:
Friday:
Mike dropped off Garrett and Carson for a few hours. The Three Musketeers enjoyed making their own personal pizzas, watching a movie, eating a Popsicle, and playing outside. Thank you for letting me take them. We had fun!!
Saturday:
Maleigha turned 4 months old!!!**Come back Tuesday evening for her 4 month stats!
After a yummy breakfast and lazy start to the day, we went to the library with Andrea, Madison, and Bryson. Andrea and I ran a few errands and then we all went out Grandma and Bob's for dinner.
Sunday:
We started with church. We enjoyed yummy bagels from Blue Sky. Kylee went and spent the afternoon playing with Madison while Andrea and I ran some more errands. I came home and did most of my cleaning...now I am supposed to be getting things ready for tomorrow and getting to bed at a decent time tonight!!
