Bargains...

My weekend was full of bargains! Andrea mentioned Other Mothers was having their 25 cent sale on Saturday. I had a $40 credit there so decided to check it out. Of course, by the time I got there the sale was over. I went inside anyways and came out with these:

I got Kylee 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, and a fleece pullover. I found a onesie for Maleigha that says "Baby's first boo" and then a jacket for Maleigha as well.

We were getting ready to go when I came across this:

The sweet baby I already had..but my bargain was the Bumbo she is sitting in. It was marked at $16.99. I snatched it up. I was a little disappointed when I got it home and took it out of the box and realized it stunk like smoke. BUT that is an easy fix. I am lovin it already!!
So then we were REALLY on our way out when I saw this:

Kylee loved it because it was pink inside. I loved it because it was pink inside AND it was only $5.99! So my grand total was $48 something..but with my credit, I only ended up paying $8 for all that!

My next set of bargains came today. Andrea gave me a GC to Old Navy for my birthday. I found this (I got the shirt in pink cadillac) and another top that I can't find a link to AND am too lazy to take a picture of. It's cute tho. But I was able to get them both for $15!

I did get a GC to Target too, I went there but didn't find too many bargains. Nothing worth using the GC on! I will hang onto until next time!

Stress

I was at work today talking with my friend Katrina. We were discussing how I do not deal with stress very well. It's true. I like to internalize everything until I can't hold it in anymore...and then I become rather grumpy. Yes sisters (Kelly and Andrea), I know you are wanting to make some comment about that statement.

Anyways, I need some advice on how to handle stress. How do you handle stress?

Still here...

I am not sure why I haven't posted anything since last Sunday, but here is a week in review..ok just a couple of days in review.
Kylee has invited her friend Hannah from school to AWANAS. She loves it! Her mom said the first night of AWANAS Hannah went home and found a spot in her room where she could read her verses with the help of the moon and had her verse memorized by the next morning. They play really good together and are so fun to listen to on the ride home.
I had a wonderful birthday on Thursday. Some gals from work decorated my office. It was so cute! Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts!!
I love this time of year, but then again I hate it!! Kylee has had a stuffy nose for a while now. Wednesday evening, Maleigha's eyes started getting all goopy and she had a horrible stuffy nose. She had a hard time eating because she couldn't breath. Her sweet little eyes were so sad looking!! That last up until about yesterday. Today she is still a little stuffy but not too bad.
Saturday we went and watched the BSU vs Oregon game with my friend Crystal and her family. Such a good game!! A lady from work invited us to come over to her house for a bon fire and a BBQ so after the game we headed over there. With the crazy weather, our BBQ and bon fire was turned into sloppy joes and tacos indoors. We had a good time! We then went and spent the night at grandma and Bob's. Kylee was so hyper by the time we got there.
Maleigha and I skipped church today but Kylee went with my parents. She came home after church due to her not feeling so hot. She spent the afternoon relaxing on the couch watching cartoons and felt better in no time.
Kylee's dad and I just got things set up legally regarding custody. Since she is in year round school, we are splitting her track breaks. This is her first one since are legal agreement. So this week he has her Sunday-Wednesday. It is so weird to not have her here on a Sunday night. I miss her when she is normally not here, but for some reason, this time is extra hard.
I finished up my first class with University of Phoenix last Monday. I just got my final grade...96%. I was pretty happy with that! Their classes are 5 weeks long and you don't get a break in between. My new class has already started. Hopefully I will do just as good if not better!
I will finish up by posting some pictures Andrea took of Maleigha on Wednesday. You can see her eye is watery in some of them.

Another one bites the dust...

Kylee lost AnOtHeR tooth!! My mom pulled it Saturday afternoon..like the other one, it was ready to come out. She was so happy when my mom held it up and showed it to her. I tried to get a good picture of her but she kept sticking her tongue in the space.

Andrea made this super cute tin:

The inside says:
In this tin you will find a teensy, tiny tooth of mine.
So while I sleep where dreams are made
Let's see if we can make a trade.
In this tin I wll lay, the little tooth I lost today.
Please dear fairy, as I sleep
leave me a coin, my tooth you can keep.

I finally took pictures with my camera instead of my phone but most of them turned out blurry. I tried.
Anyways, Kylee loved the tin and was super excited to put it under her pillow. The tooth fairy came (only brought her $1 this time) and remembered to leave behind some of her fairy dust. Kylee was SO excited when she woke up this morning. It was fun to watch her.
Speaking of Kylee, I had her Parent Teacher Conference on Thursday. The teacher said she is a wonderful student and one of her top students. She is in her top reading group, a top speller, and utilizes her class time wisely. She gave me a sheet on how she is doing in each area. She said if she was scoring it by letter grades, it would be A+ all the way down. I am so proud of her!
Maybe I should have titled this post Kylee. Did anyone notice her tired eyes in the first picture? That was because she had her first sleepover...and she actually stayed the night! It was for a girl from her class (I know her mom too). They went to a hotel and Kylee had a blast!! I stayed for a while Friday night and watched them play. It was fun to watch her play with a bunch of other girls.
Aside from all of Kylee's happenings, our weekend was pretty uneventful. Friday night Kylee had her sleepover, Saturday my car died when I went to pick her up from the hotel. Luckily it just needed a new battery. Today we started out with church, I cleaned, Kylee and I read while Maleigha napped, and then I took Kylee up to Walmart to let her spend her tooth fairy money. I also finished up my first class with University of Phoenix. My class technically doesn't finish until tomorrow, but I have turned in my last assignment and do not have to do anything else. My next class starts on Tuesday.
I will be quiet now and maybe call it an early night!

Sweetness

Kylee was at her dad's this past weekend. When I picked her up on Sunday, she gave me the sweetest book titled: "Mom's pishck (picture) book. By Kylee" It had some very sweet pictures drawn in it. My very favorite part was the end of the book. It ended with this sweet note:

Hi I am Kylee. I am going home today. I am happy to go home. I mist my mom all the time so I am so so so happy! today I am going to go home whth my mom. I was vairy sad and so I mist you. So I am vairy happy to go home today. I mist you.
Love Kylee.

How sweet is that?!?

Oh the power of baking soda....

So Maleigha has a little issue with her bowel movements. Just like Kylee, she started out having NO issues in that area. But as she gets older, the problems start developing. Kylee had this same problem. I asked the doctor about it at her 4 month check up and she said as long as she is letting gas out in some form, not to worry about it.

Sorry this is kind of a gross topic. Hang in there. You will learn the power of baking soda.

So Saturday was her last BM. Yesterday I was getting a little worried. So Kelly was talking to her friend Ambre and she mentioned that her daughter had the same issue. The doctor told her to put baking soda in the bath and for some reason that seems to work. She did give the warning that it REALLY does work so be prepared. Last night, I gave her a baking soda bath. Nothing happened last night. I called Kelly a few times this morning. Nothing.

Then about 330 I get an email titled Holy Crapoly. Oddly enough I was happy to get an email with that subject line. So long, gross story short...baking soda in the bath...it really does work. And if you try it...take Ambre's warning seriously. Be prepared!! Right Kelly?!?

2 big things **Edited**

First this:

Kylee FINALLY lost her first tooth! This poor tooth was hanging on FOREVER!! She let me try to pull it a few times but I just couldn't get it. She finally said she was going to let Bob pull it. She had gone to church with grandma and Bob (Maleigha and I stayed home as we were still not feeling all that great). After church she convinced them to take her to Wendy's for lunch. She was eating her chicken nuggets when she said "Grandma this chicken is hard." My mom looked at the chicken and then told Kylee to smile and feel her tooth...it was gone! Her tooth was stuck in the chicken!! The tooth fairy did come and gave her $5!! The one right next to it is loose too...hopefully it will come out sooner than this one.

The second big thing:

Maleigha is starting to sit up by herself. She likes to bend in half..it is kinda funny. She does pretty good but doesn't stay up too long..and it seems to make her spit up a lot..could just be a coincidence though?!?

***Sorry for the poor quality pictures...yes they were with my phone. I had charged my camera batteries Saturday night because I had a feeling Kylee's tooth would be falling out this weekend. It must be time for new ones because they were fully charged but dead when I put them in my camera.

**Andrea took the pictures and fixed them for me...thank you!! Here are the improved pictures:

One other thing I forgot to mention...Maleigha is 5 months old today!!
