Oh the power of baking soda....

So Maleigha has a little issue with her bowel movements. Just like Kylee, she started out having NO issues in that area. But as she gets older, the problems start developing. Kylee had this same problem. I asked the doctor about it at her 4 month check up and she said as long as she is letting gas out in some form, not to worry about it.

Sorry this is kind of a gross topic. Hang in there. You will learn the power of baking soda.

So Saturday was her last BM. Yesterday I was getting a little worried. So Kelly was talking to her friend Ambre and she mentioned that her daughter had the same issue. The doctor told her to put baking soda in the bath and for some reason that seems to work. She did give the warning that it REALLY does work so be prepared. Last night, I gave her a baking soda bath. Nothing happened last night. I called Kelly a few times this morning. Nothing.

Then about 330 I get an email titled Holy Crapoly. Oddly enough I was happy to get an email with that subject line. So long, gross story short...baking soda in the bath...it really does work. And if you try it...take Ambre's warning seriously. Be prepared!! Right Kelly?!?

Who would have thought? I usually don't think of natural remedies like that first, but I'm really starting to learn that they usually work the best. Poor Kelly!

Oh it was bad. Probably the worst diaper I've ever had to change and I've changed a lot in the last 6 years! Even thinking about it now makes me want to gag. Yuck!

What Kelly? Worse than a "Maddy Pooh" diaper. Have the name been passed on. Maddy would appreciate it :)

I have heard of this baking soda trick before. Actually, just a warm bath usually does the trick. Glad it worked for you. Well, actually Maleigha. I know she was getting pretty uncomfortable.
