Kylee had an author party at school today. Last night she told me she was going to get a lot of awards and reminded me to bring my camera. The kids sang a few songs and then they each read 2 pages from a book they wrote. Then they had to come read their book to their parents and then go to 2 other parents and read it to them. It was a fun afternoon. **Kylee's face looks like it is dirty but I assure you that it isn't. She as a bad habit of licking above and now below her lips and it is chapped.**
Now onto the awards part! Kylee got 6 awards! I am SO proud of her!
She got the following awards:
*Spelling award--131% with Challenge Points
*First place--229 A.R. Tests
*Good Attitude Award
*100% Reading
*First place--reading 420 books on her reading log
*Penmanship award
This girl LOVES to read!!
Kelly wanted a picture of Kylee and Garrett, I jumped in. Garrett quickly said "Uh I am squished here"
The above picture is Kylee and her 1st grade teacher, Ms. Milton. I can't believe she has 1 week and 2 days left of 1st Grade!!
On a side note, we are moving this weekend!!! I have already moved some stuff over and started unpacking it. Here is a picture of Kylee's purple room, as she requested. Thank you mom for helping me paint it! I LOVE it!! Thank you also to all my family who have helped and are going to help us move. I appreciate you all!!
