Day Trip!

My friend Brianne and I decided to take the kids to 1000 Springs Resort in Hagerman (about an hour and a half away) so that we could go swimming at the Hot Springs there. The girls (she has a daughter a year older than Kylee) did great on the drive up. Maleigha was ready to be down about the time we stopped for lunch. We stopped at a restuarant in town--not many to choose from in the small town. I was looking over the menu and saw this:
Idaho Alligator! Yuck! We didn't try that...but our lunch was good.
We had to drive a little more to get to the Hot Springs, but the drive was so pretty! The Hot Springs was right on the river and there were water falls behind the Springs. It was be so pretty in the summer---I hope to go back in the Spring or Summer. Or both!

I didn't get many pictures inside the hot springs...cause we were too busy swimming!! The ones I did get--my lens got foggy super quick:
The girls were excited to finally get the snacks on the drive home:
We pulled over on the drive home and looked at some of the scenery:

It was very pretty there. I would love to go back and do some sight seeing and go to some of the museums they have there. We all had fun. It was nice to get away---even if it was just for the day!

This is going to sound so lame but I'm so proud of you for taking a day away with the girls. I know driving in the mountains isn't your favorite thing to do but I'm sure the girls will remember it for a long time!

That looks like a lot of fun!! Glad you all had a good time. When I was talking to Kylee about it at church yesterday she told me more about the snacks they got on the way home than anything! It was pretty funny. She must have really enjoyed those :)
