Wednesday:
Today was the big day. I arrived at the hospital around 1115. I was taken right back and they started to prep me for the surgery. I was taken back to the OR a little after 1--it was very weird to be on the other side of things. The whole C-Section process was odd--I could feel the pressure of everything but couldn't feel the pain.
I remember hearing the doctor say "wow she has a lot of hair" and then I could feel them pulling her out and hearing a sweet little cry. She had a hard time breathing at first so that was obviously scary--but she finally got the hang of it. Maleigha Rae was born at 130pm weighing 6lbs 15oz and was 19.5 inches long. **I don't have my pictures from my camera yet but will upload them soon!!
The evening went ok. Her temp was low so they put her under the warmer for a bit to bring it back up. Andrea stayed with me Wednesday evening--thank you!!!
Thursday:
We had quite a few visitors during the day which helped the day go by. I was feeling really good--I was able to get up, walk around and even shower. I had very little pain--which was great.
Thursday night was good---she likes to sleep!!
Friday:
Katrina came by Friday morning and we got to spend some time talking. A little later I got my free massage---it was great!! I was still feeling good--not very much pain.
Friday night Kelly and my parents came up. They went to grab something to eat while Katrina and I enjoyed the yummy Sushi she brought up--we even got my nurse hooked on it. My dad took Kylee home while Kelly and my mom kept me company--thank you!!
Saturday:
Today was the day we got to go home!! My mom came and got us and we headed home around 11. Kylee was excited to have us home.
Saturday afternoon we headed over to Maddy's birthday party. It was decorated so cute and we all had a great time.
Maleigha slept good Saturday night--waking up every 3 hours to eat.
Sunday:
We were all tired from the past few days so today was spent relaxing and napping. Kylee and my mom planted some flowers. Kylee also showed off her wonderful reading skills. I was able to record her reading so I will post that soon too.
Kylee loves her little sister and has been a great big sister these past few days. She has been a big help and is doing good during this transition. She LOVES to hold Maleigha and does a good job at it:

Sunday night went good---she woke up every 4 hours to eat so decent sleep was had by all.
Monday:
It feels odd to be home but not have Kylee with me. I know she will have more fun playing with her cousins but I miss her already!!
**Happy Birthday to Maddy!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!
Before I end this post I would like to say thank you to my family and my friends for all their love, support, and help. I don't know what I would do without you all.
I want to especially say thank you to my parents--words cannot express how grateful I am for the two of you. Thank you for all your help not only through the past few days but over the past 27 years. I love you!!

She is absolutely beautiful. Amanda made a comment about having another baby, but said she couldn't because all she would do is sit there and hold it and not get anything done. And we both know she couldn't do that with Ashlynn around. :) I hope all goes well for you.. Parents are the best huh? I think we are all lucky for having such great parents in our lives and our children's lives!! Take care!!
Maleigha looks SO tiny next to Kylee. It's hard to believe Kylee started out that small too.
Kylee's been busy painting lots of pictures for you & Maleigha so get ready for those. :)
