She did it!!

As a lot of you know, Kylee has an extreme fear of the dentist! It started a few years ago when I took her to her first appointment. The dentist discovered that the enamel never formed on her 4 molars. He fixed them..one at a time. By the 3rd tooth she knew what was going to happen and wasn't having it anymore. That took us to some dental surgery and a pretty nice sized bill. They did a cleaning while she was under..and I am embarrassed to say that was the last time she has had her teeth professionaly cleaned.

I was debating whether or not to take her back to the first dentist, as she made quite the scene the last time she was there. I broke down and called...once I told them her name, they actually said "um, hang on just a second." I was afraid she would tell me she couldn't come back. But they took her back. I actually had to cancel her appointment a few weeks ago to her being sick.

So I took her out of school early today and off we went. I could tell she was super nervous. When she sat in the chair she became little Miss Chatterbox. She was cracking me up the whole time! They were all so nice and made it easy on Kylee. I was nervous since it had been so long, but they said her teeth look great and she joined the Cavity Free Club!! I was so proud of her!!

On a side note--I was giving her a bath tonight and she HATES when I have to wash her hair. She asked if I had to before she got in and I said yes. She started crying. Then she said "Why are you being so mean to me when I was so good at the dentist?" Funny how washing your child's hair has become mean! :0)
